Families

Community-based, hands-on STEM education outreach programming for children can have a positive impact on their attitudes toward STEM. Through family-friendly events, STEMovation will welcome the co-participation of children and adult family members including parents, guardians, caregivers, and extended family. The impact of family support in a child’s education is well-established in education research. STEMovation provides an excellent opportunity to further this research so we can better understand how adult family members can influence the impact of STEM outreach for children.
